Chance the Rapper was forced to pull out of a charity performance Monday night after being hospitalized.

According to TMZ, the 23-year-old Chicago rapper was forced to cancel his performance at the Robin Hood Organization’s “Night in NYC” event in New York City on Monday evening due to “some sort of illness.” His reps have not yet specified what put him in the hospital.

This isn’t the first time a mystery illness has forced the rapper to back out of a performance. In 2014, he backed out of a Coachella performance after being hospitalized. He has also cancelled other shows due to pain and inflammation of his throat. It’s unclear whether today’s incident was caused by something similar.

Chance most recently performed his new single “Blessings” on “The Tonight Show” last week. His performance garnered a lot of praise throughout social media for its positive message. He is set to release his highly anticipated mixtape, Chance 3, on Friday (May 13).

Anderson .Paak, Mark Ronson, and Joey Bada$$ are slated to take his place at the benefit, which raises money for the fight against poverty.
