Janet Jackson and N.W.A. are among the names of nominees for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

It’s the first time Janet Jackson has been nominated. The nomination comes just as the legendary singer released her first album in seven years and launched a world tour.

N.W.A. had a staple year with the theatrical release of their biopic, Straight Outta Compton, which topped the box office for three consecutive weeks.

Other nominees include Chaka Khan, The Chic, The J.B.’s and The Spinners.

To be eligible for the current ballot, artists or bands must have released their first single or album in 1990 or earlier. For the fourth consecutive year, the public will have the opportunity to vote alongside more than 800 artists, historians and music industry insiders.

The Class of 2016 will be announced in December and inducted in April 2016 at a ceremony in New York City. HBO,will broadcast the ceremony at a later in the year.
