Rihanna Reveals Album Title and Artwork

Rihanna ANTI

Rihanna fans now have a reason to believe her long-awaited eighth album will soon be here.

The “B.B.H.M.M.” singer unveiled the cover artwork for her eighth studio album and announced that the album would officially be titled ANTI, during an intimate gathering at the MAMA Gallery in Los Angeles on Wednesday (Oct. 7).

“This is my favorite album cover I’ve ever done,” she said to screaming fans before a black sheet covering her album art was taken down.

The cover features a splash of red over an image that appears to be a young Rihanna with a gold crown covering her eyes as she holds a black balloon. The backdrop for the entire image is a sculpted inscription of braille, which reads a selection of poems by Chloe Mitchell titled, “If They Let Us.”

“The whole idea behind the Braille is that people who have sight are sometimes the people who are blindest,” Rihanna explained.

As of now, the singer has not given a release date.

Read the poem below featured on the cover art below! It may give an idea of what to expect from the album..

I sometimes fear that I am misunderstood.
It is simply because what I want to say,
what I need to say, won’t be heard.
Heard in a way I so rightfully deserve.
What I choose to say is of so much substance
That people just won’t understand the depth of my message.
So my voice is not my weakness,
It is the opposite of what others are afraid of.
My voice is my suit and armor,
My shield, and all that I am.
I will comfortably breath in it, until I find the moment to be silent.
I live loudly in my mind, so many hours of the day.
The world is pin drop sound compared to the boom
That thumps and bumps against the walls of my cranium.
I live it and love it and despise it and I am entrapped in it.
So being misunderstood, I am not offended by the gesture, but honored.
If they let us…
