DWTS: Tamar Braxton Dedicates Emotional Performance to Husband and Son

Tamar Braxton DWTS Week 4

Tamar Braxton has been a stand out competitor on this season of Dancing With the Stars, and if you haven’t been watching you are definitely missing out.

The singer and reality star impresses every week, and this week was no different. Not only was the performance great this week, but it was also emotional because of the meaning behind the performance as she danced to the theme of her most memorable year.

Tamar and her professional partner Val, last season’s winner, danced the Rumba to her song “King.” What made the performance special is that it was a tribute to her husband, whom she almost lost in 2012, and her son.

The entertainer and her husband talked about the experience saying:

Tamar: 2012 is my memorable year because I almost lost my husband Vince. Vince and I were on a trip to New York and he told me he wasn’t feeling well. We ended up in the emergency room and they tell us he has multiple blood clots in his lungs. Vince was induced into a coma and the only thing I could think about was ‘How am I going to live without the love of my life by my side?’

Vince: ” I was in the hospital for 40 days. Tamar was there, everyday by my side. And at that particular time in the hospital that’s when we decided to have a child.”

Tamar: I will forever be grateful because I don’t even know what I did in my life to be blessed that much.

Vince accompanied Tamar and Val on the piano. The end result was tears from Tamar and even judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
