Disney has unveiled the first trailer for its live action remake of the the 1967 animated class The Jungle Book.

Disney’s treatment of the classic film will be directed by Jon Favreau, who also directed Iron Man. The famed directed took on the project noting it’s about “finding the balance between the iconic, mythic power of the Kipling and all of the images I loved growing up with from the animated feature, it was how do you combine those things?” he said. “And, most importantly, how do you use today’s technology to take it to a different place than the film that already exists? How do you build upon that legacy?”
Warner Bros. has a remake in the works, The studio’s Jungle Book: Origins, which has actor/motion capture expert Andy Serkis directing his own version with voice talent from Cate Blanchett, Benedict Cumberbatch and Christian Bale, is in production now and will debut in 2017.
