‘The Daily Show with Trevor Noah’ Debuts First Teaser Clip

Trevor Noah The Daily Show

With Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show debut a little more than a month away, Comedy Central is giving us a first look at what to expect.

It was announced back in March that the South African comedian would be succeeding long-time host Jon Stewart.

The host of 16 years took to Twitter to make the announcement.

“Very excited to welcome our next host: @Trevornoah! That’s right- another guy in late night from Soweto,” Stewart tweeted.

Noah took to Twitter to promise fans that the show will continue to be great saying, “No one can replace Jon Stewart. But together with the amazing team at The Daily Show, we will continue to make this the best damn news show!”

Stewart wrapped his hosting duties with a emotional, celebratory goodbye earlier this month.

As for Noah, he told TV critics in June, “The show still has its voice. It’s just I’m at the helm taking things in a slightly different direction, but still trying to get to the same end place.”

Noah’s debuts  as The Daily Show’s host on Sept. 28.
