While the hip hop world has waited for Meek Mill to respond to Drake’s “Charged Up” diss track, Drake decided the wait was too long and released yet another diss track.
Early Wednesday morning, the Canadian rapper released “Back to Back Freestyle” to his Soundcloud, and this time around he’s far less mellow.
On the track, Drake mocks Meek for being lesser-know than his girlfriend Nicki Minaj and riding her coattails to success.
“Ya love her then ya gotta get a world tour / Is that a world tour, or your girl’s tour? / I know that you gotta be a thug for her / This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more / Trigger fingers turn to Twitter fingers / You getting bodied by a singing n—a,” raps Drake.
He later added: “And shout to all my boss b—-s wifin’ n—-s! / Make sure you hit ’em with the prenup / Then tell that man to ease up / I did another one, I did another one / You still ain’t done shit about the other one.”
The beef between Drake and Mill started last week, when Mill wrote on Twitter that Drake didn’t write his own lyrics.
“Stop comparing Drake to me too,” Mill wrote. “He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!”
Well, Meek Mill the ball is in your court… again. The hip hop world is waiting… again.
