Drake Releases Meek Mill Diss Track ‘Charged Up’

After Meek Mill went on a Twitter rant last week claiming that Drake does not write his on raps, Drake has responded with a diss track over the weekend.

Drake released “Charged Up” on Saturday night, a very calm response to Meek’s accusations.

“I did some charity today for the kids/ But I’m used to it cause y’all charity cases,” Drake rapped on the song. “All y’all stare in my face and hope you could be to replace me / Snitchin’ on us without no interrogation / I stay silent ’cause we at war and I’m very patient. Six God is watching, I’m just hoping you prepared to face him.”

The song later includes the lyric, “I’m done doing favors for people. Because it ain’t like I need the money I make off a feature.” Drake appeared on Mill’s track “R.I.C.O.”

Drake also commented on Meek’s relationship with fellow YMCMB rapper Nicki Minaj. “No woman ever had me starstruck/Or was ever able to tell me to get my bars up/ I’m charged up,” he rapped.

So what did Meek think of the song?

“Baby lotion soft,” he tweeted. ” I can tell he wrote that 1 tho.”

The beef between Drake and Mill started on Tuesday, when Mill wrote on Twitter that Drake didn’t write his own lyrics.

“Stop comparing Drake to me too,” Mill wrote. “He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!”

There’s no word as to whether Meek will release his own diss track, but he will be sitting down with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex for a full interview tonight (July 27) at 7:00 p.m.
