Kelly Rowland Joins ‘Empire’ Season 2
Empire‘s star-studded guest list for season 2 keeps growing!
Kelly Rowland is the latest celebrity rumored to be joining the Empire world.
The 34-year-old singer is expected to play Lucious Lyon’s mom in a flashback scene of his childhood.
Last month, Rowland hung out with Empire screenwriters, which initially sparked speculation that she would make an appearance on the show.
“Hey, @KELLYROWLAND! Thank you for spending some time with the #Empire writers!,” writers captioned a group photo on Twitter.
The show’s second season is set to debut on September 23 and feature previously announced guest stars such as Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys and Marisa Tomei. Ne-Yo has also been tapped to write music alongside last season’s executive music producer Timbaland.
