They are both staples of the transgender community so was only right that they posed together at the 2015 BET awards.
Orange Is the New Black‘s Laverne Cox and blogger B. Scott took a moment to pose for photos on the red carpet on Sunday and sat next to each on the front row.
Cox wore a low-cut navy blue pantsuit with gold accessories and long wavy tresses. Scott opted for a shingled blush dress, gold shoes and long, wavy hair.
It seems that the network was aiming to make amends for past actions with B. Scott who filed a discrimination lawsuit against BET and Viacom in 2013. The blogger filed suit after executives forced him to change into “gender conforming” clothing after hiring him as on-air talent for their awards pre-show. Scott and the network settled the lawsuit this year. Scott identifies as transgender but prefers to use male pronouns.
