A new installment of the 90’s classic Sister Act is in the works at Disney, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The script will be written by Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah whose writer credit include Ella Enchanted, 10 Things I Hate About You, Legally Blonde, The House Bunny and She’s the Man.

The new installment is already in pre-production, but there’s no word if Whoopi Goldberg will be reprising her role as Sister Mary Clarence. There are also no details about the plot of the new film and if it will mirror the original.

The original movie generated $232 million worldwide, while the 1993 sequel, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, grossed $57 million in the U.S. The film was also the basis of a successful Broadway musical.
