Prince to Release Freddie Gray-Inspired Song

Many celebrities have spoken out and been moved by the unrest in Baltimore following the killing of 25-year-old Freddie Gray.

Now, legendary singer Prince is lending his voice to the social issue. The singer-songwriter has recorded a song in response to the death of the African-American man at the hands of six police officers. The song “addresses the unrest in Baltimore and the socio/political issues around the country in the wake of a slew of killings of young black men,” according to the singer’s publicist.

The artwork for the single has been released, but Prince’s Park Studios has not yet announced a release date for the single.
