On the heels of revealing artwork for his latest project, Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly went live on iTunes over the weekend, ahead of its planned release date on March 23.

However, there may have been some miscommunication between Lamar’s TDE label and Interscope Records because Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony Tiffith was less than impressed with the surprise-stunt.

The 16-track opens with “Wesley’s Theory,” featuring George Clinton and Thundercat. Other collaborations on the album include Snoop Dogg, Bilal, Anna Wise, Ronal Isley and Rapsody.

To Pimp a Butterfly appears in iTunes as a pre-order with only the first single, “The Blacker the Berry,” available for download, but the whole album can be heard in full via Spotify.
