Rihanna Documentary in the Works from ‘Battleship’ Director
For those who just can’t get enough of Rihanna, you’ll be happy to know that there is news of a documentary about the pop princesses’ life in the works, according to Deadline.
Filmmaker Peter Berg, who worked with Rihanna on the film Battleship, recently launched his new production company, Film 45, and one of his first projects will be a theatrical feature documentary about the singer.
The film is described as an “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon.” Berg, who gave Rihanna her acting start, said that he liked the idea of examining “a young artist at the top of her professional field” and that the project will be “much more a character study than a music film.”
An official date for the documentary has yet to be released, so fans will have to wait.
Meanwhile, fans are also waiting on Rihanna’s next album, currently under the working title R8, to release sometime this year.
