Raven Symoné Lands Guest Role on ‘Black-Ish’

Raven Symone

Raven Symoné is popping up on TV series everywhere.

In addition to her guest role on Fox’s Empire, the former child star has landed a guest-starring role on ABC’s critically acclaimed Black-ish.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Symoné will play Rhonda, Dre’s (Anthony Anderson) gay sister, who is just as uncomfortable talking about her sexuality as Dre is. The two have a playful rivalry in which they compete for the top spot in their mother’s (recurring guest star Jenifer Lewis) rankings that are released every December. Despite the siblings’ close relationship, they struggle addressing Rhonda’s sexuality. The episode titled “Please Don’t Ask, Please Don’t Tell” will follow them as they work on their communication issues.

The episode featuring Symoné will air later this season. Black-ish airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
