Grammys 2015: Kanye West, Rihanna Perform ‘FourFiveSeconds’

After several years of boycotting the Grammy Awards for snubbing him in major categories, Kanye West’s presence at the award show was clearly missed over the last six years as the audience waited in anticipation when he appeared on stage Sunday night (Feb. 8).

The 37-year-old entertainer took the stage alongside Rihanna and Paul McCartney to perform “FourFiveSeconds,” where the powerhouse dazzled in front of a white screen for their pop ensemble that oozed fun and enthusiasm for not only the talents on stage, but also everyone else clapping and singing along in the audience.

Above a single spotlight, Kim Kardashian’s husband and North West’s daddy took the stage once more to perform what many call his most emotional track to date, “Only One,” a song written to his daughter from the perspective of his late mother, Donda. Wearing an Adidas tracksuit and a gold chain, Kanye dripped sentimentality as he sang about little Nori in a heartfelt, and somewhat unexpected, solo performance.

Kanye’s last Grammy appearance came in 2009, when he performed “American Boy” with Estelle and “Swagga Like Us” with Jay Z, T.I., Lil Wayne and M.I.A. Since then, he has been outspoken against The Recording Academy, especially after his Yeezus album was steered clear of any top categories in last year’s ceremony.

Nonetheless, Kanye made up for his absence this year. See his Grammy performances of “Only One” and “FourFiveSeconds” below.
