LL Cool J Reveals Eminem Collaboration On “G.O.A.T. 2”

In an exclusive interview with Rap-Up TV, hip-hop legend LL Cool J revealed that his sequel album G.O.A.T. 2 will join forces with Slim Shady to create an epic collaboration between the two.

“Me and Em have a song,” LL announced. “He recently just let me hear his verse and it’s crazy. He’s chainsawing (expletive). It’s good. I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised when they hear me and him on a record together.”

Eminem, who has been vocal about LL’s influence on his career, performed a tribute for the Queens-emcee at 2009’s VH1 Hip Hop Honors, but this will mark the duo’s first collaboration.

The sequel will arrive 15 years after the original G.O.A.T. hit record stores. The album also taps artists J. Cole, T.I., Maino and Raekwon among fresh talents Fred the Godson and Troy Ave.

“The concept behind the album was to give upcoming artists an opportunity to shine and to put myself in the position where I have to spit bars with some of the hardest rhymers in the game,” The New York-native rapper told XXL. ” I wanted to really embrace where I’m from and embrace my community, embrace my hood and give these guys a platform and an opportunity to shine while I do my thing.”

LL Cool J released his last album Authentic in 2013, which debuted at  No. 23 on the Billboard Top 200 and sold roughly 14,000 copies in its first week.

Do you think “G.O.A.T. 2” will hold the same success?
