It appears Italians can’t get enough of Nicki Minaj because after her cover of L’Uomo Vogue, followed by an editorial shoot in this month’s Vogue Italia, news revealed hip hop’s leading lady to be the newest face of Robert Cavalli’s luxe spring/summer 2015 campaign.
Among the collection, esteemed photographer Francesco Carrozzini captured the Trinidadian beauty posing in a range elegant gowns that included a black-and-white zebra striped dress, a black semi-sheer halterneck gown and a coffee-toned dress paired with a luxury fur handbag and a pair of stylish sunglasses to finish off the look.
“I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman,” said acclaimed designer Roberto Cavalli. “With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong countertrend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body, who is not afraid to show her curves, rather she make them as a strength.”
As the only woman to make it into the Forbes Hip-Hop Cash Kings 2014 list with an estimated $14 million this year alone, Minaj will also endorse the Made in Italy brand’s eye-wear and accessory line in addition to it’s ready-to-wear collection.
