Pharrell Williams Celebrates Collaboration With Adidas

Pharrell Williams is making waves yet again in the fashion industry, but this time he’s lending a creative hand in the creation of three characteristically unconventional sneaker designs in the name of equality.

The singer-producer’s latest collaboration with Adidas Originals was celebrated at Hinoki & The Bird in Los Angeles on Dec. 3 with several stars in attendance. Although Pharrell says he’s not nervous about Friday’s Grammy nominations for record of the year and best pop solo performance, he says he is indeed “Happy” about his new project with Adidas.

The new line introduced a colorful, unisex collection of tennis shoes tailored to track jackets inspired by the theme of equality. With a splash of color, the traditionally white and green sneaker designs feature a limited series of leather sneakers with an all-over pattern of polka dots on different color backgrounds.

Named the “Polka Dot Pack,” the fashion-forward shoes run for $120 each and are available at stores in the US with additional pieces slated to roll out through 2015.

Khloe Kardashian, Big Sean, Ellen Pompeo, Hans Zimmer and Gwen Stefani also attended the intimate celebration dinner at Hinoki & the Bird last night.
