Nicki Minaj Strips Down For ‘Complex’ Magazine
With her forthcoming LP The Pinkprint set to drop next month, Nicki Minaj rocked futuristic ensembles to cover Complex magazine’s December 2014/January 2015 issue.
She sported a caged-skirt and a metal-plated bra by Chromat with a stylish bob, while another shot ditched the short wig for a sleek beehive ‘do in a black gown. Nonetheless, Nicki let her hair down in another photo as she swaps the black dress for a white one with frontal cutouts and… bubble-wrap?
As for her album, the “Anaconda” singer discusses why she decided to release racy artwork for her single, which featured Nicki squatting in a thong.
“The reason I stopped taking pictures like that was because I needed to prove myself. I needed people to take me seriously,” she said. “I’ve proven that I’m an MC. I’m a writer; I’m the real deal, so if I want to take sexy pictures, I can.”
The Pinkprint drops on Dec. 15, and showcases tracks like “Bed of Lies, “Pill N Potions” and “Only,” which features Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown.
