Nicki Minaj Hosts MTV EMAs, Debuts ‘Bed of Lies’
Nicki Minaj hosted the annual MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) last night (Nov. 9), and she did not disappoint. From the outfit changes to a hot performance, it’s clear that she was a great choice as this year’s host of the show that took place.
Aside from being the host and winning Best Hip Hop artist, the lady MC took the stage for a three-song set. Nicki Minaj transitioned from “Super Bass” to a new song titled “Bed of Lies,” and ended with “Anaconda.”
On the very personal track “Bed of Lies” featuring pop singer Skylar Grey, the rapper spits about a lover who was with her before the fame, but the tumultuous relationship got so bad that she “contemplated overdosing.”
It’s unclear if Minaj is referring to her long time relationship with Safaree “SB” Samuels in the song, but the couple recently split after more than 10 years together.
