Marvel Unveils First ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Trailer

The first trailer for Marvel and Disney’s Avengers: Age of Ultron was supposed to debut Oct. 28 during an episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but a low-quality version leaked a week ahead on Oct.21, so Marvel decided to give the fans what they want and released the official clip.

They released the high-quality version on their YouTube page on Wednesday, showing fans what to expect when the action sequel hits theaters next year.

The first film brought together Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) for a face off with an army of alien invaders in New York City. As seen in the new trailer, the superheroes are put to the ultimate test as they take on the villainous Ultron and his army of robots. With the fate of the planet at stake, the Avengers must stop Ultron’s terrible plans for humanity.

Other stars seen in the trailer include Samuel L. Jackson, who reprises his role as Nick Fury, as well as newcomers Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver.

Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters May 1, 2015.
