Keyshia Cole Hit With Restraining Order and Lawsuit
A woman is suing Keyshia Cole for allegedly attacking her in jealous rage at Birdman’s condo last month. Sabrina Mercadel filed legal documents against the singer, accusing her of punching her in the face, scratching, pulling hair and permanently damaging her finger, according to TMZ.
The incident took place when Cole, who reportedly had been dating Birdman, showed up to his West Hollywood penthouse in the wee hours of the morning, and was let into the building by a security guard. When she entered and saw the woman, she began to question her before it got violent.
In her documents, Mercadel claims that she and the Cash Money mogul have a business relationship and that she was just “visiting a friend.”
Following the altercation, the “Remember” singer was arrested for misdemeanor battery and an outstanding reckless driving warrant. She was later released on $46,000 bail.
A judge has since granted Mercadel a restraining order against Cole. The 32-year-old singer must stay at least 100 yards away from Mercadel, and is restricted from having any contact with her.
