Childish Gambino Drops Two-Part Mixtape “STN MTN”

2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival Village - Show

“I had a dream I ran Atlanta, and I was on every radio station,” Childish Gambino says in the intro of his new mixtape, STN MTN. He surprised fans yesterday, Oct. 2, when he dropped the 11-track project named after Stone Mountain in Georgia.

Childish Gambino, whose real name is Donald Glover, rhymes over a few Atlanta-bred hits, including “Southern Hospitality,” “Move That Dope” and “Money Baby.” He also drops a few bars to Lil Wayne’s “Go DJ” and Timbaland & Magoo’s “All Y’all,” but this is only half of what Glover has in store.

The second part of his mixtape titled KAUAI, which features prodigy Jaden Smith under the name “The Boy,” was made available for download via iTunes later in the day.

“The Gangsta Grillz mixtape is sort of like — it’s a dream,” Glover explained in an interview with Complex. “The dream ends when I wake up in Kauai. And they go into each other — It’s one complete project.”

Money collected for the EP goes to help keep Kauai clean and obtain audio and visual device for cops policy.
