Jimmy Kimmel Presents “Mean Tweets: NFL Edition”

Talk about being a good sport! Jimmy Kimmel invited several football players and media personalities to read “Mean Tweets” written about them on Twitter for a special edition in honor of NFL’s 95th season kick-off on Thursday (Sept. 3).

Wide receiver for six teams during his 15-year career, Terrell Owens, kicked off the segment by reading: “The fact that ‘Excessive Celebration.’ is a penalty pisses me off. Thanks Terrell Owens you piece of donkey s-t.”

Another tweet mocked former NFL Hall of Fame player Michael Strahan’s gap-toothed grin.

“Michael Strahan’s teeth are having a middle school dance, where the boys stand on one side of the room and the girls stand on the other,” the tweet said.

Lastly, Seattle Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith’s tweet read: “Malcolm Smith you just won the ‘who the f-k are you?’ award.” To which the athlete swiftly replied, “I’m the Super Bowl MVP. Who the f-k are you?”

A very good question, indeed.

Others to participate in the “Mean Tweets” segment included Tampa Bay Buacaneers safety Dashon Goldson, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall, Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor, San Fransico 49ers tight end Vernon Davis, Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson, San Diego Chargers linebacker Dwight Freeney, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith and outside linebacker Terrell Suggs.
