Young Jeezy is currently in custody under suspicion of possessing an illegal firearm, police confirmed to Daily Mail.

The rapper, whose real name is Jay Jenkins, was arrested with five other men after an assault rifle, believed to be his, was found when the Irvine police department executed a search warrant on Jeezy’s tour bus last Sunday at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. The search warrant was issued for an investigation in connection with a shooting in Mountain View, CA where a man died after being shot five times.

The shooting happened backstage at a Wiz Khalifa concert at the Shoreline Amphitheater on Friday, and a 38-year-old man, Eric Johnson, died on Saturday from being shot multiple times.

The other men arrested were Kena Marshall, Peter Maynard, David Kuniansky-Altman, William Gilmore and Alexa Beason, according to police.

No one has been arrested in the killing of Johnson.

“This remains an active homicide investigation and MVPD detectives are aggressively following up on all leads,” the MVPD said in a press release.

Jeezy is being held  at the Orange County Police Department on $1,000,000 bail.
