It looks like Gucci Mane will be spending some more time behind bars after breaching a firearm charge for which was indicted late last year.

The 34-year-old rapper, real name Radric Davis, plead guilty rather than going to trial, where he could potentially face up to 10 years in prison. He recieved a sentence of 39 months in a federal prison, but Davis’ lawyer, Drew Findline, had a few requests. He asked that the rapper be sent to a drug rehabilitiation program for his addiction to a mixture of cough syrup and soda known as “lean.” Findling also asked that Gucci be stationed to recover on the West Coast, away from distractions closer to home.

“He understands he has some work ahead of him and his hoal is to bring resolution to this case and get back to performing,” Findling said of his client. “He doesn’t want anything to distract him. He wants to do anything to get back to the work place and the work place is the stage.”

Police caught Davis with a 45-caliber handgun and eight rounds of ammunition last September when he was serving probation for a prior felony. The prison sentence will be followed by three years of supervised release with an order to pay restitution of $5,000 and surrender all firearms listed in the indictment.
