Chris Brown Reveals ‘X’ Album Release Date

Don’t hold your breath..

The R&B star has been teasing fans with his hit songs like “Loyal” featuring Lil Wayne, and “New Flame” featuring Usher and Rick Ross, but Chris Brown’s long-delayed album X may finally see the light of day.

Breezy dished the date on his Instagram with a post stating that the two-disc, 10-song album would be released on Sept. 16.

“Making X, I found out who I am,” Brown told Rolling Stone last year. “This album has a lot of substance, from the subject matter and the situations to how it deals with love. It’s really derived from personal experiences. Then again, I always like mixing reality with art.”

X is a follow-up to Brown’s Fortune in 2012. It was originally set to release on the singer’s 25th birthday this past May, but kept getting pushed back due to Brown’s jail sentence and legal issues.

Brown recently shocked fans when he and Drake reconciled their differences for a short skit at this year’s ESPYs award show.
