Actress Nia Long has been tapped to become the new face of White Diamonds fragrance. Launched more than 20 years ago in 1991, the brand has maintained their spot as one of the top-selling fragrances in the market, now worth more than a billion dollars in sales.

“Elizabeth Taylor said White Diamonds was her ‘Diamonds In A Bottle,’ and that’s what Lustre really is to me,” said Long. “Lustre just adds that extra sparkle.”

The Elizabeth Taylor brand is hoping to pull in a younger crowd, but Long is determined to find the balance between show biz, White Diamonds and her full-time job with motherhood.

“Put the child first,” she advised. “The child, always, always comes first. And agree to disagree on certain things. If you set an example, your child will understand the value in every relationship. It doesn’t have to necessarily be a marriage or someone you spent the rest of your life with.”

Long earned recognition for her talents by taking on roles in television shows, such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Third Watch, but the mother of two recently starred in the comedy-drama, The Single Moms Club, directed by Tyler Perry. Her latest TV debut was as Billie Page in the new series,  The Divide, which premiered last night, July 16. The drama-thriller series follows a District-attorney as he uncovers new evidence that prompts the re-investigation of a sensational murder case. Long stars in the series alongside Jan Maxwell, Damon Gupton, Clarke Peters and Chris Bauer.
