Rihanna may have the reputation of a bad girl, but the pop princess proved to be somewhat of a good girl after she donated $25,000 to a police charity after mistakenly smashing L.A. Police Commission President Steve Soboroff’s cell phone.

The incident happened when RiRi was sitting next to Soboroff while courtside at the Clippers game at L.A.’s Staples Center. Soboroff asked to take a selfie with the “Good Girl Gone Bad” singer, to which she agreed, but unfortunately as she attempted to snap the photo the phone slipped out of her hand and smashed on the floor.

“Sorry I broke your phone @SteveSoboroff :),” the 26-year-old tweeted. And then she donated $25,000 to a LAPD’s cadet program and the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation, according to the Los Angeles Times.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Barbadian beauty also signed the shattered cell phone with the message, “Sorry! I ♥ LAPD. Rihanna.”

The commission president saw the broken phone as another chance to raise money for under-served students who want to participate in the LAPD’s cadet program, reports the Los Angeles Times. He is auctioning it on EBay and bids have already surpassed $1,200.
