Between her countless hours on Hollywood sets and her fiancé’s hectic NBA schedule, you would it’s only a matter of time before the bride-to-be unleashes the beast within. Ironically, Gabrielle Union dishes on how Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade may just be “groomzilla” when it comes to making plans for their big day.

“D’s very involved in every detail,” she said when speaking of the couple’s wedding. “My dude is having a princess moment.” As for the music playlist? The 41-year-old actress is nine years older than her hubby, so common ground on this category becomes a little challenging. As far as we know, guest better be prepared for a lot of Beyoncé and Jay Z be that is as far as compromise goes for the dynamic duo.

The soon-to-be-newlyweds have yet to conceive children together, but Union is already a mother-figure in the lives of Wade’s two sons and nephew. Although having no kids in the house into a house full of them the next day might be too much for some folks, she admits to loving Wade’s children as her own.

“Our lives never skipped a beat,” Union said. “When you’re someone who goes from never having thought about birthing her own babies to [having] a ready-made family that has immediate needs and wants and desires, your life takes a back burner… but D’s kids are more than just part of the wedding, They are part of my life. They’re a package deal.” Motherhood might just be a little more frantic than wedding plans, but Union is enjoying the growth of her new family. Nevertheless, she’s had her say on more than a few very important details for their special day.

“I did the wine tasting, and I’ve said yes to the dress,” Union shared. “In fact, I’ve said yes to a few of them. That’s the joy of getting married to a man who loves clothes and wardrobe changes: You can have more than one dress.”
