The-Dream Accused of Assaulting Pregnant Girlfriend

The-Dream is reportedly wanted for questioning by the New York Police Department after an alleged assault on his then-pregnant girlfriend Lydia Nam.

According to reports by TMZ, the singer/producer “punched, kicked and strangled” Nam during an alleged incident that occurred April 2013 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Nam was about 6 months pregnant with their son at the time.

However, following the alleged incident, Nam waited until November to file a police report. It’s unclear why she waited so long or if she sought medical attention following the reported assault.

Sources close to the 36-year-old musician have insisted to TMZ  that the allegations are untrue, adding that Nam, a citizen of Canada, is a “vengeful woman who’s plotting to use this alleged crime as a way to extend her visa in the U.S.”

If the police do find the “Purple Kisses” singer, he will be taken into custody.

The alleged assault is not the first time the star, whose real name is Terius Nash, has been involved in a domestic violence case, according to TMZ. Last June he was arrested following an incident also involving his then-girlfriend , but she declined to press charges causing the District Attorney rejected the case.

Dream has three children with his first wife Nivea, a daughter with his second wife Christina Milian and a son with Lydia Nam.
