2014 MTV Movie Awards - Show

We’ve already enjoyed their successful collaboration for hit song “Love The Way You Lie” in 2010, but Rihanna and Eminem joined forces again in their latest track “Monster.” The musical duo overcame technical difficulties and headlined the two-hour show with the debut of an energetic rendition of the song, which was performed live in Los Angeles for the first time at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards Sunday night.

Rihanna was presented the award for Best Cameo for her appearance in the comedy “This is the End,” and opened her performance at the event in a “FEAR” headband, matching mini dress and baseball jacket. Eminem entered the stage soon after matching the Bajan beauty’s street style in matched her street style in a baseball jacket, baggy charcoal jeans and a monochrome motif tee. The duo kept the crowd energized and hyped from opposite ends of the stage before finally meeting in the middle to deliver the final moments of their debut and wrapped it all up with a warm hug.

Eminem told MTV News in November that it was a no-brainer to work with Rihanna on the song, which appeared on his most recent album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. “As soon as I got the beat, I just heard her on it,” he said. “She smashed it, like she does always.” The performance is just a preview of the pair’s upcoming mini-tour set to hit Los Angeles, New Jersey and Detroit in August.
