Oprah Winfrey Buys Half-Sister A Half Million Dollar Home

For 25 years, Oprah Winfrey gave away everything from kitchen appliances to cars to her studio audience.  Even though she ended one of the most successful shows of all time, her generosity is still as prevalent as ever.

In 2011, Winfrey introduced her newly found half-sister, Patricia Lofton, on her talk show, calling it “one of the greatest surprises of my life.” The women have the same mother, Vernita Lee, but Patricia was sent to live in foster homes until she was adopted at the age of seven. Since then, Winfrey has been quietly aiding her younger half-sister with a monthly allowance so that she can focus on accomplishing a few major personal goals. Her most recent surprise to her younger sister was a $490,000 home.

A  spokesperson for Oprah say the home was a gift in order to aid in her younger sisters dream, “Patricia’s greatest dream was to go to college and become a social worker. Oprah wants to support that dream.”

Now that’s what we call sisterly love!
