Pharrell Williams’ Album “GIRL” Has Release Date

Pharrell Williams has announced that his debut album with Columbia Records will drop worldwide on March 3.

The album titled “G I R L”, Pharrell’s first solo project since 2006’s “In My Mind,” will feature the grammy-nominated feel good song “Happy.”

“When Columbia Records presented me with the opportunity to make an album, three things came to mind,” says Pharrell in a statement. “One was the sense of overwhelming honor that I felt when I realized that they were interested in partnering with me on the album that I had always dreamt of making.  Two, it would have to feel festive and urgent.  And three, I instantly knew it would be called ‘G  I  R  L’. I hope you like it.”

To accompany the release date, Pharrell has also unveiled a 30-second trailer for the album that features random candid moments.

Meanwhile, Pharrell has been a busy man. On Sunday, he opened the NBA All-Star Game,  he will perform at this evening’s (Feb. 19) Brit Awards at the O2 Arena in London and he is expected to perform “Happy” at the 86th Annual Academy Awards.

The world just can’t get enough of him right now!
