Beyoncé and Jay Z Perform “Drunk In Love” for Grammys 2014 Opener

What’s best way to begin music’s biggest night with a bang? To have music’s hottest couple open with their newest smash hit, of course.

Beyoncé and Jay Z kicked off the Grammys 2014 with their first live performance of “Drunk In Love” from Beyoncé’s late-December surprise album.

Beyoncé began her performance solo with a risqué chair dance. She straddled the chair wearing Saint Laurent tights, a custom bra, a Nicholas de Carle bodysuit,  Stuart Weitzman shoes and Jennifer Fisher earrings.

Her hubby then joined  her onstage to rap his verse on the duet song. The couple danced together and shared some very intimate moments, including a kiss in the middle of the song.

While most people enjoyed yet another flawless performance by Queen Bey, others took to Twitter to complain that it was over sexualized and inappropriate considering some children may have been watching.

Despite the critiques, the night went on and proved to be an especially amazing night for Jay Z who won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Holy Grail” with Justin Timberlake.

After thanking God and his wife who he referred to as the “beautiful light of a young lady” in his life, he then said, ” I wanna tell Blue that, look– daddy gotta gold sippy cup for you!”

Beyoncé was not eligible for this year’s Grammys, but watched proudly as her Grammy-nominated husband took home the prize.
