Kanye West has been named a suspect in an alleged assault case that took place in Beverly Hills, Ca., police said.

The alleged battery happened at 12:15 p.m. on Monday near Wilshire Boulevard, confirmed the Beverly Hills Police Department in an official statement.

“The named suspect was identified as Kanye West by the victim and several witnesses,” the statement said. “Mr. West had left the location prior to officers’ arrival. As of this writing, BHPD detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation. No further information at this time.”

According to TMZ reports, the incident began when the 18-year-old male started ranting at the paparazzi calling them “n—–rs” amd “f—-ts” as they bombarded Kim Kardashian for photos.  After she urged him not to use those names, he turned on her and called her a “n—– lover” and screamed “I will kill you s—” in front of the paparazzi.

During the unidentified male’s rant of racist slurs and deragatory names, she called Kanye and the guy screamed “n—-r!”

The bizarre confrontation escalated when Kanye rushed to the scene and the two barged into the a chiropractor’s office where the teen was sitting.

“Witnesses say Kanye punched the guy and Kim screamed, ‘We have it all on tape'”, according to TMZ.

sources say the two men had to be separated and the Beverly Hills police were called. Before the police could arrive Kanye left the scene, but the “victim” told police he wants to press charges.

Kim does not agree with the man who taunted her being called the victim. She believes that she was the victim in the incident so she has filed a police report and met with her lawyers to prepare for a counterattack, according to TMZ.

West is already facing misdemeanor battery and attempted grand theft charges stemming from a scuffle with a paparazzo last summer at Los Angeles International Airport. He pleaded not guilty to the case in November and his next court date is Jan. 23.
