Jay Z Partners With Cohiba For Cigar Brand

Hip-hop mogul Jay Z is expanding his empire once again with the launch of his new cigar line with Dominican cigar company Cohiba.

“I worked with Cohiba because I knew they’d take my vision of a luxury cigar and bring it to life in the right way” Carter explained in a press release. “We took our time working on this, to get the blend to exactly where I wanted it to be. Comador looks and tastes the way I think a cigar should.”

The product that took two years to develop is “derived from the finest tobacco”, according to the product description. “The blend is enveloped in a hand-selected Connecticut Broadleaf binder which ensures an even burn and sets the stage for Comador’s crowning glory, the Connecticut Havana wrapper.”

The cigars are available in three sets. Comador Humidor ($999) includes a “striking, pebbled-leather humidor”, a travel case and 21 cigars.  A smaller set, The Comador Travel Humidor ($350), comes in a black and gold metal tube with seven cigars. The Comador Toro Box also comes with seven cigars, but are stored in a box with the signature design on it.
