Kobe Bryant Is A Laker For Life, Secures 2-Year Contract Extension


On Monday, Kobe Bryant signed a two-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers have not released information about the financial terms of the contract, but a source told ESPNLosAngeles.com’s Ramona Shelbourne that the new deal is valued at $48.5 million.
Bryant, who has not played since April due to a torn Achilles tendon, will make more than $30.4 million this season, the final year of his contract.

The team announced the deal in a news release , stating the contract extension” should ensure” that Bryant finishes his career with the Lakers.

Bryant posted a photo on Twitter Monday morning  of his signature on the contract with the caption “#Laker4Life.”

Bryant has helped to Lakers win five NBA championships since joining the team in 1996.
