Young Jeezy Leaves Def Jam To Join Jay Z At Roc Nation

Young Jeezy has officially parted with Def Jam records to join Roc Nation with hip-hop mogul Jay Z.

The “Thug Motivation” rapper tweeted a photo of himself and Jay Z together with the caption “CTE x Rocnation x #itsthaworld Its OFFICIAL.” Roc Nation also welcomed Jeezy to his new label home with the message, “Welcome Jeezy to Roc Nation. CTE x Roc Nation x It’s Tha World.”

Jeezy parting ways with Def Jam was not as much of a surprise. Recently on a Twitter rant, the rapper tweeted his issues with the label, threatened to leave and threatened to leak his own album.

“Ni**as @DefJamRecords keep playing games if you want!” he tweeted.

Followed by another tweet, “If Def Jam don’t get this right y’all got an early xmas gift #myfans.”

Roc Nation is a full service entertainment company founded in 1998 and is working its way to becoming a hip-hop powerhouse. It is the home of other artists including Rihanna, J Cole and Wale.

Jeezy’s It’s Tha World Vol. 2 is expected to release Nov. 27.
