President Obama To Announce $100 Million In Education Grants


President Obama is announcing $100 million in education grants for a competitive program called Youth CareerConnect that aims to better prepare high school students for in demand industries, including science, technology, engineering and math. The government will award 25 to 40 competitive grants in amounts between $2 million and $7 million to allow high schools to work with higher education institutions and employers. The funds for the awards will come from the Department of Labor.
