A federal judge in New York rejected rapper DMX’s bankruptcy claim from being filed for another 18 months. U.S. Trustee Tracy Hope Davis said that the 42-year-old failed to provide trustworthy information in his bankruptcy file. DMX could potentially lose all his possessions because due to the dismissal of his bankruptcy claim, he is currently exposed to almost $1.8 million worth of debt owed to creditors. Of that grand total, DMX owes $1.3 million solely in child support for some of the 10 children he has fathered.

In an interview with DMX’s wife, Tashera Simmons, she revealed that DMX earned and spent over $40 million during the course of his career.

“He used to spend recklessly. When I told him I didn’t want to be with him anymore because of all of the stuff that was going on, he said ‘well I’m gonna see how you’re going to live without any money’ and I thought he was playing. I called the accountant and said ‘the mortgage hasn’t been paid’ and she said ‘you got to take that up with your husband.’ Only because I had a stash that I put away is the only reason I refuse to kiss his butt to take care of me.”

The hip-hop rapper was arrested last week on Nov. 4 in South Caroline on charges of driving with a suspended license.
