Eddie Willis, and original Motown session guitarist, will be in Detroit for a rare and intimate appearance at the Northern Lights Lounge on Nov. 16 for a fundraiser and tribute to The Funk Brothers.

The event will also feature a Q&A with the audience after Eddie plays countless iconic hits by Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Jackson 5, and many more. A fellow Motown guitarist, Dennis Coffey, who brought the wah-wah pedal to Motown, will be playing music alongside Eddie and The Funk Brothers. Proceeds from the event will be given to Eddie, who has been struggling with the effects of polio for the last several years.

There will be a $15 cover with a suggested donation, as well as an auction for several signed pieces of The Funk Brothers memorabilia.

Location: Northern Lights Lounge at 660 Baltimore St, Detroit MI, 48202 Between 2nd Ave and 3rd St, three blocks west of Woodward Ave.
