Do you remember the film where Halle Berry played a woman with multiple personality disorder who struggled to cope with her disease? Probably not. The Codeblack film, “Frankie and Alice” debuted at Cannes in 2010, and screened the same year at AFI, but was never picked up for North American distribution. Codeblack focuses on features for the African American market. Their last success was teaming up with Summit Entertainment and Hartbeat Productions to release the concert film “Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain,” which grossed $32.4 million to date.

Well three years later, Lionsgate label Codeblack Films announced its latest purchase of North American rights for the film and will hit theaters in April 2014. Halle has had a whole life since then, so it should be interesting to backtrack and see preggo and put-together Halle play a character completely different than who she is.
