The Game And Drake Make Contributions For Tragedy Of Five Children

Rappers Drake and The Game are pledging to donate $22,500 for the funeral expenses of five young siblings who passed away in a tragic mobile home fire in Ohio. The mother, Anna Angel, was working at her shift at Burger King when the fire consumed her home and took the lives of her children and boyfriend trapped inside. The family spokesperson says The Game talked with Angel’s boss on Tuesday and asked what he could do to help. The representatives for the artists have been in contact with friends of the family and a bank in northwest Ohio that is handling donations. It’s nice to know

The Game, who recently pledged to donate $1 million to people in need as part of his RobinHoodProject Instagram’d: “I can deal with a lot of things but people losing their children is something that kills me every time.” He said was on the phone with Drake when he read about the woman’s loss … and they each agreed to donate $10,000 to help Anna cover the burial costs. Drake later posted about the tragedy saying, “What [The Game] is doing will never be forgotten. Honored to be able to help people along side my brother.”

In addition to the rappers’ $20K, the producers of Game’s TV show, ‘Marrying the Game’ also pitched in $2,500. Although the circumstances are heartbreaking, it’s nice to see celebrities give back to the community.
