“Law & Order: SVU” To Air Trayvon Martin Inspired Episode In New Season

The Huffington post is reporting that the long running television series “Law & Order: SVU,” will be airing an episode inspired by the Trayvon Martin case in its upcoming season.

“Law & Order: SVU” franchise, currently filming its 15th season, has based past episodes on various mainstream events and cases. Earlier this year, SVU aired an episode inspired by Pop Icon Rihanna and R&B singer Chris Brown’s highly-publicized domestic dispute.

Yesterday in New York, extras were seen on the SVU set holding signs almost identical to the ones created to mourn Trayvon Martin.

The episode is slated to air later this year and has a working title of “American Tragedy.”
