Solange Covers Nivea’s “Laundromat” at a Brooklyn Laundromat

vitaminwater And The FADER Present uncapped With Solange Knowles

Solange headlined the second installment the “#Uncapped” series presented by Vitamin Water and The FADER. Solange performed on top of steel washers and dryers at Brooklyn’s Atlantis Super Wash Center. The Laundromat was transformed into a neon-lit nightclub.

Given the venue she chose to sing one of her favorite songs, “Laundromat” by R&B songstress Nivea. The song is originally a duet featuring R. Kelly but Solange sang both the male and female parts. She jokingly told The FADER , “I wish we would’ve had more time to rehearse it, because being R. Kelly and Nivea at the same damn time is just not possible.”

Solange was recently in the media for canceling her European Tour dates due to taking on to many commitments at once while juggling motherhood.
