Samuel L. Jackson publicly launched his charity ‘One For The Boys’, a Male Cancer awareness campaign at The Palace in the Park on June 17, 2013 in London, England. His passion towards this endeavor hits close to home as many of his relatives and friends were affected by cancer. He said, “It’s a new male cancer awareness campaign to change the male attitude towards the disease.”

Jackson’s organization encourages men to look for symptoms and take the disease seriously.

The actor has also worked closely with Alzheimer’s disease charities after his mother developed the illness.
