Beyonce Makes Top 20 on Forbes ‘100 Most Powerful Women’ List

What could Beyonce and first lady Michelle Obama have in common, you ask? Well, besides being the wives of two of today’s most influential men, and having a fashion sense that is adorned by many, they’ve both made the top 20 of Forbes Magazine’s ‘100 Most Powerful Women’ list.

Aside from Oprah, Beyonce is the only entertainer to rank amongst the list’s top 20 women. It’s only been a year since Mrs. Carter was ranked #32 on the list, but she’s moved up to #17.  With a sold out tour and a $50 million endorsement deal with Pepsi, her ranking on the list is no surprise!

Contrary to those who would think Beyonce’s undeserving of such a high ranking, the numbers don’t lie. An estimated 104 million TV sets were tuned in to watch her 15- minute Super Bowl performance this year, making it only 10 TV sets shy of having the most watched Super Bowl performance since Madonna’s Super Bowl performance.

Her documentary, Life is But a Dream, aired on HBO broke records with 1.8 million viewers tuned in.

With such impressive statistics, Beyonce has proven to be a movement by herself but we can’t forget the fact that she’s one-half of the hottest power couple in the industry!

This year Beyonce and Jay-Z were listed among 100 of the most influential people in the world in Time Magazine. The power couple also joined forces to executive produce the soundtrack for “The Great Gatsby”, a box-office hit that brought in $51 million in its first week. Combined, Mr. and Mrs. Carter’s net-worth makes them the first billionaire couple in Pop music.

In addition to being a great wife and business woman, Mrs.Carter has managed to have a baby and less than a year later, grace the cover of GQ magazine showing off a body to die for! It is definitely safe to say that Beyonce is running the world right now!
