“Draft Day” Casts Diddy and Terry Crews

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Terry Crews have been added to the upcoming movie “Draft Day,” starring Kevin Costner. The story follows the manager of the Cleveland Browns. On the day of the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver (Costner) has the opportunity to save football in Cleveland when he trades for the number one pick. He must quickly decide what he’s willing to sacrifice in pursuit of perfection as the lines between his personal and professional life become blurred on a life-changing day for a few hundred young men with dreams of playing in the NFL.

Crews is repped by WME and 3 Arts and can be seen in the upcoming season of HBO’s “The Newsroom.” Combs is repped by CAA and was last seen in Universal’s “Get Him to the Greek.”

The pic also stars Jennifer Garner, Denis Leary and Chadwick Boseman from the Jackie Robinson biopic “42.”

Summit Entertainment will begin production tonight. Scenes will be filmed at New York’s Radio City Hall which will kick-off the 2013 NFL Draft. The remaining footage is expected to be shot in Cleveland.

An official with the movie studio says “Draft Day” is filled with adrenaline, high stakes, laughs and a “fantastic group of characters.”
